Service Description
Puberty can be such a confusing and scary time for our children and even for parents. How do we guide our children and prepare them for all the bodily changes they will experience? We are here to help! Mini Mahina + Me is modeled after our Mahina + Me Retreat, where we celebrate menstruation, our bodies, and learn how to incorporate cultural and holistic practices to create our own monthly ceremonies. Mini Mahina + Me is designed especially for our young menstruators ages 10-13 who have experienced or will experience their first periods. We share with them the bodily changes they are experiencing, introduce them to different products they can use, and empower them to advocate and care for their own bodies. The workshop includes hands-on activities for self care, educational materials, and a to-go bag with menstruation products and tools for body care. This workshop will in held in-person in Kāneʻohe, O'ahu. Address will be released upon registration. We are able to offer a hybrid experience for those that unable to meet us in person, please let us know in the notes if you need this option.
